In the early years of the twentieth century, when education was still a privilege rather than a promise, Grace Gudith did something remarkable. She built a school.
There was no grant. No board of directors. No strategic plan. There was a community of children in Brownstown, Michigan who deserved more than their era intended to give them, and a woman who believed that was reason enough to act. She made something from nothing, and set a course that would carry through generations.
That Gudith Elementary still stands today, carrying a family name woven into the land beneath it and the Downriver community around it. Six generations later, Grace's great-great-great-granddaughter, Dr. Jeannie A. Gudith, leads JAG Consulting, still building and improving schools, still betting on what a single conviction can become.

Dr. Jeannie A. Gudith, Ed.D., brings more than twenty-five years in education to her work with private schools and a family legacy in the field reaching back to the 1800s, when her great-great-great-grandmother founded a school in Brownstown, Michigan. That inheritance became JAG Consulting.
She has taught, led, and founded private schools of her own, and now advises school leaders across the country and abroad. She is also a published author and the mother of two.
What she brings to clients isn't theory, it's the perspective of someone who has sat in the founder's chair.

Located in Brownstown, Michigan. is named after the entire Gudith family. The Gudith family name has a long and rich history connected with the current site of the elementary school and the Downriver area.
